JIGGERS TO HELP KIDS
Our Community Health Volunteers have been helping people afflicted with jiggers sand fleas through our Health Literacy program for four years now. Their main aim has been to treat people infected with jiggers, and also to teach families about how to prevent infections in future. END OF AN ERA
After seventeen years supporting HIV/AIDS activities in Uranga, we have made a tangible change. The real impact of our work over time has included decreasing HIV-related stigma, empowering people living with HIV, increasing the percentage of those on HIV treatment and the prevention of mother to child transmission of HIV. ANTENATAL SUPPORT
Coni has continued to lead our MNCH program with commitment and heart. Together with her two assistants, Margret and Grace, the small team has made sure that pregnant women throughout Uranga and Boro have had access to not only their antenatal clinics, but to our unique ‘pregnancy clubs’.
