END OF AN ERA

After seventeen years supporting HIV/AIDS activities in Uranga, we have made a tangible change. The real impact of our work over time has included decreasing HIV-related stigma, empowering people living with HIV, increasing the percentage of those on HIV treatment and the prevention of mother to child transmission of HIV. With the situation now dramatically improved, we are moving our focus to other priority areas of need in the community. And to mark the end of an era, our team in Uranga held a celebration which brought together our 13 community health workers, Uranga manager Mordecai, board members and local stakeholders.
